1. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to understand how users use our Website and for marketing purposes, including displaying advertisements to them elsewhere on the Internet.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored by a website on your computer, phone or other device on which you browse the website. A cookie contains data about your use of the website.
Some cookies are necessary for the operation of our Store and cannot be disabled.
In other cases, when you visit our Website for the first time, we ask you to consent to the installation of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies (or any cookies other than necessary ones) without your consent.
What cookies do we use?
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the proper functioning of the website. You cannot disable them, because once disabled our website simply will not function correctly.
For this purpose, we use a tool that stores your privacy settings. It shows your consent or lack of consent for enabling particular categories of cookies on our website.
Other necessary cookies used on our Website ensure its correct operation and management, including introducing changes on the website and enabling tracking tools to which you have given your consent.
Statistical analysis of our Website
We use tools that collect analytical data which helps us understand how users use our Website. The data we receive from these tools does not provide information about a specific person by name and surname, but allows us to record various aspects of how a given user uses the Website.
We may aggregate and analyse this data statistically and then use it to make decisions about changes to our Store and/or how we conduct advertising and marketing communications.
A list of analytics tools used on the Website, together with an explanation of:
(1) who provides the tool, (2) what it is used for, and (3) what data is collected — can be found in Appendix No. 1 to this Policy and, in summary form, also in the cookie consent management panel.
Advertising cookies
We use advertising tools that allow us to display our ads on other websites you visit, including social media (so-called targeted ads), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor the content of our communications addressed to you to information we hold about you.
The Store allows you to subscribe to our newsletter. Therefore, cookies are used to embed the subscription form on our Website and to measure the effectiveness of sign-ups through that form.
Modern email marketing systems allow us to combine analytics data from email campaigns with analytics data from the Store. We may use this data to optimise the content of messages sent to newsletter subscribers.
A list of advertising tools used on the Website, together with an explanation of:
(1) who provides the tool and (2) what it is used for — can be found in Appendix No. 1 to this Policy and, in summary form, also in the cookie consent management panel.
Functional cookies
Some cookies on our Website are used to enable additional tools, such as a chat, product review and/or star rating modules, the option to recommend a product to a friend, the option to show you products recently viewed in our Store, etc.
A list of functional tools used on the Website, together with an explanation of what they are used for, is available in the cookie consent management panel.
Social media plugins and links
Our Website contains links to our social media profiles: Facebook / Instagram . If you visit our profile on a given platform, the operator of that platform will receive — as in the case of moving from any website to another — information that you have accessed the platform from our Store.
Details on how these platforms process data can be found in their privacy policies:
-
Facebook and Instagram: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/center/
- The Store uses social plugins that, for example, allow you to share a product from our Store on your profile / like our product on Facebook / save an image from our Website to your Pinterest account.
Using such plugins involves transferring cookie information to the operators of these social media platforms:
-
the platform operator will receive information that your browser displayed our Website, even if you are not logged in or do not have an account;
-
if you were logged in to one of the above platforms before visiting our Store, the operator may directly link your visit to your profile on that platform.
If you do not want social media platforms to link data collected during your visit to your social media account, log out of those platforms before visiting our Website. You can also prevent social plugins from loading by choosing the appropriate settings in the cookie consent management panel.
Videos
Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms).
When you play such a video on our Website, Instagram/TikTok receives information from your browser, even if you do not have an account on Instagram/TikTok or are not currently logged in. If you were previously logged in to the relevant platform, the provider may directly link the video playback to your profile.
To prevent Instagram from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you may:
-
not play the video (we treat consent to play a video as consent applying to other videos on our Website until it is withdrawn, i.e. until you change your cookie choices),
-
refuse cookies from that platform on our Website, or
-
log out of that platform.

Legal matters relating to cookies
The legal basis for the Store’s use of necessary cookies (indicated above in “What cookies do we use?”) is our legitimate interest, i.e. the right to operate a Website supporting our business and the need to ensure its security.
The legal basis for our use of other cookies is your consent.
In connection with the processing of your personal data through cookies, you have the rights described below in the section “Your rights in connection with data processing”.
Using cookies, in particular for advertising purposes, may involve profiling. This means that we, or marketing companies whose services we use, may create a user profile based on collected information (e.g. email address, order history, device type, technology used, frequency of visits) and, on that basis, make purchase predictions for the future. This allows us to decide what content (including advertisements) to display on our Website and other websites.
How long do cookies remain on a user’s device?
This depends on whether they are “persistent” or “session” cookies. Session cookies, i.e. information necessary for browser functions to work properly, expire when the user’s session ends, i.e. each time you close our Website.
Persistent cookies, which make using the Website easier (e.g. remembering the selected resolution, content layout, user preferences, recently viewed products), are stored longer by the browser and remain until they expire, unless you delete them earlier using your browser settings.
Third-party cookies (analytics, advertising and social media related) are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties, which we link to in this Policy.

Modern email marketing systems allow us to analyse recipient actions, i.e. whether a message was opened. We analyse such information to better tailor newsletter and notification content to your interests and send personalised messages (profiling). You may object to such processing at any time.
If a subscriber is inactive for 1 year, we may stop sending the newsletter. In such case, we will remove you from the subscriber list (after prior notice).
We do not use your data to make decisions based solely on automated processing that could affect your legal situation or have other similarly significant effects.
Further legal information about newsletter delivery rules can be found in the Newsletter Terms (part of our Store Terms and Conditions).

ANALYTICS COOKIES
Google Analytics
Google Analytics may collect information such as: how many times a user visits the site; which subpages they visit; date of first and last visit; duration of visits; referral source; browser used; clicked link; approximate location; anonymised (shortened) IP address, etc.
Google assigns individual users a unique identifier (Google ID) and stores cookie data from various websites on its servers. As the Website owner, we can obtain from Google reports (statistics) relating only to traffic on our Website. These reports include only users who consented on our Website to tracking by Google Analytics.

You can permanently prevent Google Analytics from recording information from your browser by installing the opt-out plugin:

Cookies of the Store software provider
The provider of the software powering our Store, i.e. the owner of the shoper.pl platform, places cookies on our Website in order to collect aggregated information about how customers use online stores (opened pages and time spent on them, viewed products, clicks on the Store website, analytical shopping data such as conversion rates).
This data is used to create aggregated reports for e-store owners containing general information (without personal data), e.g. which products interest customers, periods of increased traffic/sales, etc. This helps sellers (including us) improve stores and optimise sales processes.
Full information is available in the Shoper cookies policy for visitors of Shoper stores.
ADVERTISING COOKIES
Google Ads and other Google advertising tools
Google collects cookie data stored on your device. This data is collected on all websites where you allowed advertising cookies by Google (including our Website) and from ads you clicked. Google uses this data to display ads on other websites you visit. Typically, Google cookies expire after 3 months.
As advertisers using Google services, we do not have access to cookie data stored on your device. However, we can target ads to groups of recipients with selected characteristics, e.g. all persons who visited our Website (or a specific subpage) in the last 7 days. This data is only statistical for us, and ads are targeted based on aggregated criteria (to groups, not to a specific user).
We may also use tools (within Google Marketing Platform) to measure campaign effectiveness (e.g. how many people clicked an ad in a given time period).

Meta Conversion Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
We use the Meta “conversion pixel” (remarketing pixel) to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram.
If you consent to this cookie on our Website, Meta Platforms services receive information that you visited our Website. This information is linked to your profile if you have one. If you are not a user of these services, the information is assigned to a so-called “Facebook ID”.
This allows us to display remarketing ads on Facebook and Instagram to persons who have already visited our Website or specific subpages. We receive only statistical data about ad effectiveness (e.g. how many people saw or clicked the ad), without identifying specific users.

Marketing automation tools
We use marketing automation tools that allow us to collect information about how Store customers use the Store and to combine sales records with other information we have about a specific customer.
This allows us to tailor advertising communications addressed to a specific person (email/SMS marketing) and targeted advertising campaigns (audience groups) to a user’s preferences and/or history. These tools may also tailor Website content (e.g. banners, pop-ups or product suggestions) to information we have about the customer.
Email marketing
For newsletters we use a tool provided by an external company. The email marketing system places cookies on our Website to display subscription forms and measure their effectiveness (conversion rate).
